To 3-year-old, while she's hugging her little sister:

     "I like that you're hugging her, but please don't crush her."

3-year-old, pretending to put her little sister to bed:

     "I love you...now GO TO SLEEP!"

Conversation with 3-year-old:

     "Who gave us the car?"

     "Nobody. Mommy and Daddy bought it. People generally don't just give cars."
